The American Bully

A Big-Hearted Brute

Behind his "big thick brute" appearance, the American Bully is a real teddy bear very close to his family.
An education combining softness and firmness makes it possible to obtain a very good relationship with his Bully (an iron fist in a velvet glove).
This breed can get along well with all types of animals if socialized properly.
He does not excel in endurance sports due to his robust morphology but can quite well practice moderate physical activity.

The weight of the American Bully must be closely monitored because being already a heavy dog due to its frame, it tends to be gluttonous and to gain weight quickly. The resulting overweight would then be harmful to his health.
In terms of morphology, the American Bully should give the impression of great strength for its size. It is a compact, medium to large sized dog with a muscular body and a blocky head. The American Bully should give the appearance of a heavy bony structure with a bulky build and appearance.
The most common registry is the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC).
